To What Day are you Doomed?

Updated on May 19, 2011

in every day

Greater peril looms

earth rejecting her own

hoping to scourge man

to a remembrance of their purpose

their origins long lay down

yet even in this

no tyrant may steal

nor person put aside the fact

that every man much choose his or her end

whether this day or any other be that end

it cannot doom us all at once

for not equal

we cannot be so judged

God knows it

we know it

we fear it because we know our fault

and to some extent that of our neighbor

thinking our people sick

and our society molding

even feeling trapped by our nature to not see

blindly doing as was done before

not seeing options to avoid misery

accusing our maker for not stemming our stupidity

we wish for a sudden end to the struggle

a relief from our agency

brought on in such a fashion

as to give us a notable last hurrah

a death scene which might make the ignoble, noble

tis sad to disappoint

that such irrational romanticism

that bends scripture to its will

should be so frustrated

and utterly proved foolish

yet look you around

and see the horror of one place demolished

one after another

bringing societies to their knees

while leaving the largest portion of men and women

still able to struggle on with less then before

it is right that such happen

but not nice

or fair

and in this we define justice

that the laws impolitely administered

might bring people to their senses

without being able to avoid seeing their doom

one after another

one at a time

each according to their choices

and not a freak moment of time

so here I say

which moment is yours

or will you turn back and carve a different course

being a salvation

worthy of heavenly support.

such people God has always helped

and will yet help

even until the end

Which moment is mine I say that only God knows my destiny he has set forth for me. I travel on roads that have forked often and taken me down winding crevices that could have easily plunged me to my death.

I wish no ill on mankind, I know the world is in turmoil and struggle it does to survive on this slippery sphere we call earth. I pray that when the time comes it is swift for one and for all and leave no sinners to cast the last stone.

A-men! very nicely written. I don't know what else to say to add to such beauty.

Loved reading this. You have your own way in playing with words. This symbolizes the hope that we should imbibe in ourselves at all walks of life. keep writing.
