Today, I Am #8

Updated on July 23, 2017

June 23, 2017

Today, I am filled with grief.

It washes over me in waves,

crashing over the dips and sways;

foaming at the lips.

I tighten my grip on grace and pray that eventually I will get away.

But the ocean craves all of my peace

and so I stay,

trapped in the midst of missing you.

Some days I am an escapee;

searching for refuge from the memory.

But most days I am encompassed in

the thick of it.

      So short and yet so deep.

      A beautifully written poem expressing deep sadness of missing someone or something. Great work as always, Bella.

      Bella---What a beautiful poetical expression of heart's struggle for liberation. My enjoyment of reading it got mixed with an attempt of empathy with the mood in which it was written.

      Great work again. I think we all have days like this. Where we get stuck in a rut or a mood that sometimes cannot be shaken.
