Today/a poem

Updated on July 21, 2012
This poem is personal to me and in no way condones a belief in suicide. in fact I hope that through my mental illness I will inspire others to seek the help that they need. God bless.

Today

Today

Will today be the moment that time forgets? When I swallow the pills, and call life quits.

When my heart stops beating will there be remorse? Was this my destiny? My chosen course?

I traveled through life lost it seems, a wandering soul, without hope, or dreams.

Love and joy wasn’t my fate, I was born to a world of torment, and hate.

So in this coffin I quietly lay, the choice is mine, will it end today?
