Tomorrow (poem)

Updated on July 16, 2016

His lonely nights were filled with dreams of her

For just one kiss how happy he would be

Within his arms what worlds would she confer

Perhaps tomorrow she will be with me

-

Her lonely hours were filled with sighs for him

How happy she would be with just one kiss

Within his arms releasing passion’s whim

Perhaps tomorrow she’ll see all of this

-

Then what if comes to settle in his dreams

Amid her sleep it visits her as well

A dye of doubt adds color to love’s scheme

Perhaps tomorrow has them in its spell

-

And with the day the couple last meet

A hi was all as they both went their way

Another day now settled in defeat

Perhaps tomorrow they’ll find words to say

Music only

Seasons of the heart. We pass through all the transitions and hope love lasts. Beautiful poem, Martin.

Ah......the road to finding true love has a few potholes along the way.
