Tomorrow’s Promise (poem)

Updated on December 13, 2013

How tranquil is the gentle touch of night

The dream of you floats freely mid the air

Tomorrow’s promise you will still be there

As always cast this treasure to my sight

Sweet memories become a precious flow

Tomorrow’s promise there will yet be more

Rich splendors blesséd heartbeats by your shore

In heavens only lovers come to know

Tomorrow’s promise cannot fall apart

Or there will not be meaning for the stars

What crystal spring would quench the world like ours

What purpose lost can mornings help restart

How tranquil are the nights which will ensue

Tomorrow’s promise is my love for you

      A lovely poem Mhatter.

Memory seems to have an unbounded capacity to hold unfulfilled promises, yet still we seek out with eager expectation that morning sunrise, which we hope shall flesh out one of those precious heavenly phantoms, which we forge in the fire of our own will.

      All the Best,

You weave words of romance, words of promise - words of a true poet!

I do adore how you play with words. I do the same,

      hugs and sharing M..

This was a beautiful love poem, one that I'm sure many could get lost in... I know I did

The woman in the picture looks like she's ready to be swallowed up by the sea. I like your take much better!

This is an amazing tapestry of words joined together

to show the splendor of true love.

Divinely inspired, your words speak of riches of the heart

and the promise of dreams of tomorrow.

      Excellent, Martin!!
