Touching Lives

Updated on June 26, 2009

Making a Difference

What if I smile,

And make you smile?

What if I listen,

And let you share?

What if I love,

So you feel loved?

What if I share,

So your wants are met?

What if I think of you,

And not just me?

What if I give you time continually?

What if I build you up,

Not tear you down?

What if I give you tools,

‘til your way is found?

Then maybe our world, better will be:

Kinder, gentler, free…

A tilted scale -

Happy, fulfilled, gracious people,

Outweighing the pale.

What if one can,

From caterpillar pull butterfly?

Won’t know ‘til you try.
