Touching the face of the beauty----poetry

Updated on April 4, 2015

in dark continuous silences of the night
I reach out my fingers towards her face

I watch as the her ivory flesh relaxes and
her shaded eye's close just one softening trace

I trace out the lines and shadows that excite
and pleasing something deep inside

as a smile forms in the muscles of my own face
I realize emotions I cannot hide

she hurls passing stars at me
a defensive move on her part ?

has she been neglected for far too long
or my absence broken something in her heart

but then just as I begin to wonder I spy
the beginning of a smile

she swells just a trace and becomes
something far more for awhile

My but she is ......a full moon

I just got a good good feeling all the way down to my toes. This one is a prize. Just for a second I was there. So then I raced outside to watch a beautiful moon set. Thank you.

Let me be the first to comment Horseback.

That is one beautiful poem with a great ending. Mysterious, yet so clear. Well done.
