Trapped Beneath

Updated on February 27, 2017

Trapped Beneath

Many have to deal with mental illness
They hide behind the garb of compromise
Inside they are dying falling apart at the seams
Satan laughing spread his wings
We traveled so far not to turn back now
Many heads are caged in vast domain
Not having there loved ones in arms is driving me insane
A beacon of light to a hurting world in need
While the outside world watches as you bleed
No compromise a word to the wise
Twisted lies through a variation in a dream
Evil schemes
Fought back the passion with a smile
To know all the great while
Control the mind to unfold your thoughts
With what you can perceive this you can achieve
Trapped within no where to begin
The ground is sinking sand you understand

Mental illness is an important issue in our society that many are affected by. Much more needs to be done to address it. This poem captures it well, John.
