Trisomy X

Updated on August 4, 2014

In Your arms I'll always be :)

Many years ago there was a newly married couple

Who had to go through so much of trouble

After five years a ray of hope shone through dark clouds

When they were expecting a small one to come out loud.

Blue baby

Small long head shot through to this world

A blue baby with no tears like a pearl

The doctor gave a good smack to the bum

Little eyes started crying for her mom.

This beautiful baby girl was oh so fragile and had to handle with care

Her heart was weak with holes that needed to be repaired

Her hands and feet were so small and under weight

She was like a tender flower so for her strength they stayed.

Doctors diagnose her with trisomy X

Which caused her heart and mental stress

As she grew, parents prepared for the operation

Her heart was sewn but too slow in communication.

Trisomy X

She was late to walk and used to push her bum on the floor

But she was clever with words of her own as she explored

Though the world around her was overwhelming for her

She was creative as a good day dreamer.

She was clumsy and lethargic which didn't make any sense

How hard she fought to make things right in her defense

Everything was futile as she couldn't change

Slow to express as she felt oh so lonely and strange.

Emotionally imbalanced she, thought that she was going crazy

Hyper sensitivity that made her scared searched for safety

Almost until the day she tried to take her life away

God who loved her saw and sent an angel on her way.

"Jesus loves you", the angel who stopped her said

" He'll never leave you nor forsake" a voice near to the bed

Since then she cried out to Him whenever she felt lonely and scared

Heavenly Father's love calmed her down and His comfort shared.

"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." - Psalms 139:14

"Before I formed you in your mother's womb I chose you. Before you were born I set you apart. I appointed you to be a prophet to the nations." - Jeremiah 1:5

"It was you who formed my internal organs, fashioning me within my mother's womb." - Psalm 139:13

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11

"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people to be his very own and to proclaim the wonderful deeds of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." - 1 Peter 2:9

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” - Matthew 11:28-30

Her continuous time of the month got out of order

So it was an early 'Bye bye, baby bye bye for her'

She lived by God's grace with love so great

Encouraged others to live by unwavering faith.

She had a challenging childhood and teen life

Due to birth defects memory was the greatest strife

Since the time she was surrounded by God's perfect love

She realized that she has a plan and purpose somehow.

As she thought about others before her needs

She prayed for women who desired to give birth to their families

Even if her womb was removed for treatment sake

She wasn't jealous as she embraced life which was no mistake.

So the Father God who loved her sent someone special

An unexpected blessing who was understanding, kind and gentle

To take care of her as a companion in holy matrimony

To share and care as well as to build her very own family.

The beauty that you are bringing to my soul :)

Trisomy X is also known as Triplo-X, triple X, XXX syndrome, 47,XXX aneuploidy. Females with triple X syndrome have three X chromosomes instead of two, but only two chromosomes are functioning and the other one is dead.

In Sri Lanka only five are found with this syndrome as far as I heard. Those who are with this, happens to be affected in different ways, though not handicapped they tend to be average in many ways. Lack of physical energy, taller than the normal and under weight.

It is also called 'SUPER WOMAN SYNDROME' but I don't understand what so super about that since those who go through it are unable to become pregnant. They can have a normal married life without children of their own unless the couple adopt someone else's child as their own.

For more information check Triple_X_syndrome

The best medicine for those who go through this is loads of attention, loving care and understanding her with patience as the Father God designed her, before she was even in her mother's womb, He planned her size, the color of her eyes, the color of her skin, everything about her! When God created her, He made her exactly the way He planned.

True love and acceptance do wonders :)

Yes I think so too, but when you accept it, it's easy to work and enjoy your life since there are other sicknesses worst than this . Thank you for dropping by Audrey :)

Thank you for sharing about this disease. I'd never heard of it before, but I love the way you have presented it. No one is perfect and yet we are all God's children and He cares for us.

That started off enthralling and different, but it turned into a somewhat sorrowful for the family poem. I voted up, pinned and shared it.
