Trouble, Desire, Acceptance

Updated on September 24, 2011

Fallen leaves have trouble with the wind
It blow them aimlessly
Like malicious people withdraw to secluded area

Water flow from the mountain via the waterfall
And the stream of the waterfall flow to the river
And into the sea which it will not return

But if a person who want it to flow upward
And it did not occur like the way the person want
Therefore the person will gain frustration…in their mind alone

Against the natural cause, nature of law
This person will grief in sorrow…
Like dogs with scabies

Therefore desire can be a trouble
And to only end this problem
Is to accept the way things are

If only we learn to flow with the tide and not against it. To accept fate but to work hard nonetheless.

      Work without expectations.

      Lovely thoughts.

This poem has great meaning in many different ways. I take it as the circle of life. We can't go back into the past but we can learn from it. Voted up!

Hi lintertran, Denny, thoughts220, and Nailee, thank you all so much. I agree with each one of your comment as it is all has same meaning that include peace and harmony.Life is not perfect and everything that we expect in life is not going to cherish your mind but to gain frustration and anger. The only thing to get rid of it is to plant a seed of acceptance. Thank you.

Yes, Chanroth, flow with the universe, make peace with time, space and living things...especially yourself. This is the key to happiness, growth, stability (if it exist relatively).

      Flow, let flow and enjoy.

      Love and peace. NiaLee

Voted up and interesting. I like the way you have built upon the idea of expectations and desires being one of the major causes of dissatisfaction in our lives, using beautiful imagery. In way, your poem has conveyed the message of having realistic goals in life. Well done.

I was just advising my brother this morning that expectation in life is the seed to all the problem. If you expect some thing from some body and you don't get it then as you rightly said the frustration and other things get started off.

A very valuable point said nicely with an rain, river, ocean phenomenon as example .

This hubs deserve minimum interesting and beautiful.
