Truthful Lies

Updated on December 18, 2016

the rare holy spirit on the needle

confirmed these two still orphans

off to the grave as all is right

beauty came through his words as we all expected

newborn clicks delivered by that electric clock

which was a gift from my wife after our wedding

please do what you can to spark a kiss

words do not prevent betrayal

yesterday I exhumed your lost love

the look on your face was a strange memory

the man with the sparkling little tin rings the bell

now we are off to the remote theater holding lights

average ecstasy of eyelashes & kisses

becomes disturbed visions in a universe without her

giving power to little claws of desire covered by night

I sit for hours clutching your heavenly garments

the carvings retell the unfortunate stories of our love

boards & branches wistfully replaced your flowers

its what our fighting has been all about

Such a beautiful and sad poem. Love does sometimes take us on painful journeys where love and hate can be one, and death and life, too. Well, these things become possible in literature and help us to realize they are possible in life, too.

We live a life that nobody knows but us. We can change that life at anytime and live the one we want. We might have that life now and just never noticed how good and special it really is. Writing brings out our dreams, wishes, wants and anything else we can put on paper. For me it is a second chance to express my life that I have lived in a different way. So I get to live my life two times when most people only get one life. Cats have it right. They have nine lives. Now I wish I was a cat. I forgot for a second I am living that dream too. Don't work to hard. Play hard and work smart. Enjoy your day.

I see you have met some of my wonderful friends. They have encouraged and guided me with their time ,help, generosity and kindness. A birds feathers don't work until they spread their wings and fly. HubPages may be just one of many writing sites on the internet but it is where I was welcomed with open arms and continue to rejoice with some of the most caring and understanding people I have ever met. Welcome to the hub spirit may it take you away.

Yes, very interesting indeed. Isn't that the great thing about poetry? Everyone can take melodic words and swing them around in their minds and come up with a theme of their own, but in reality, it's only the poet who knows exactly what they mean, and that is what makes the words more beautiful and special even to the reader.

      Welcome! :)

I concur with my two friends, Dream On and Jodah. Your writing style if most interesting and its content 'rings true'.

Welcome aboard to Hubpages. I predict you'll like it and vice-versa!

As DreamOn said.. "interesting writing". There are a lot of contrasts here which fits the title well.
