Tre Writers don't stop Writing

Are you the True Writer?

  • What makes you the true writer?

  • Are you the True writer or the still waiting to be writer?

I began writing in 1997 and only had my work published since 2008.

Over time my audience increased and I gained a steady platform.

It took a while to gain some popularity on Hub pages and on other writing sites.

I try my best to deliver unique hubs.

The daily writing encourages me to write and explore different avenues.

  • What makes you the true writer?

The following example will enlighten you on what I mean of a true writer:

An individual takes photos at a family, or a friend's function and thinks of themselves as a professional photographer.

It is a whole lot of nonsense!

To capture the special moments one requires a certain amount of skill not just the pointing of the target, and then to shoot the accurate focus.

You need the requirement of a simple to use camera.

An easy way to understand your mode of taking the photo.

If you don't have the actual exposure of taking a photo, the art of photography fails in its own way.

Photography is misunderstood to many individuals with a camera.

The same way as writing is now recognized.

Most individuals are blank about photography as they are about writing.

True writing is not different to capturing moments with a camera.

It does not mean if you pick up a pen and start writing you are a true writer.

A story written to perfection and writing as to photography, is like a special form of art, or craft you use to get away from the rest of the world.

Remember that a true writer hardly reaches perfection, and often what is published is easily read.

Most writers won't tell other writers their work is not good enough.

The still want to be writers don't have a clue of writing.

There are writers but not every writer speaks perfect English.

I have read many books and most of what I read was not written in the most perfect English.

When you know someone who is trying to be a writer and know they are no good at it stop them right away.

Writing to me has become a dying art form as I have noticed far too many articles with mistakes and trying to read such articles is poorly recognized. Everyone wants to be a writer but if you are not the true writer keep on trying to achieve your goal in writing.

It is easy to self-publish your work as self-publishing has become so easy for many so-called writers that without proper practice their work is being published this leaves a poor image for many good writers.

Reviews on all published work explains if the book is good enough for the customer. Just as bad reviews are valuable, so are the good reviews.

Readers do play an important part when it comes to published works.

What a reader has to say shows if your published work is worth reading or not.

Feedback makes a huge difference to all writers.

You can write many poems, and essays, or short stories, and still it won't be true to call yourself a writer.

When you consider other work to be greatly written then you know who your work stands out to. You need to know how to differentiate a still want to be writer, and the true writer.

An individual should not call themselves a writer unless they have more than once paused through a novel and said to themselves, ''this is a lovely description of that character,'' or ’’the phrase used was most impressive.''

The written words have to be loved by the writer.

If you have the love of writing a specific story.

To build new characters.

To form relationships with the actual characters in formation of the story.

You could then go ahead and write that story.

An experience you will need to have in your life. The enjoyment of writing is to be able to let out your true feelings within the story.

Most authors are often the greatest critics. Some prefer not to look back on their work, and don't feel the need to say anything of greatness of their work put together.

True writing varies from one writer to the next person. Although not every person would look at their work as better than the other.

Each person has their own way of writing and sharing their greater ways of writing.

Your opinions are most welcome on True Writers.

Writing is an easy escape to let out my true feelings, especially, when I am not having a good day. Some times individuals interrupt my writing moments.

  • Do you prepare a project before tackling writing?

Pre-writing rituals can be labeled in order to start your new day at the computer.

Be calm and soothe yourself to light a candle, and start writing. The lit up candle allows your space to feel calmer.

I listen to the local South African Radio station when I work at the computer. It makes me feel happier and most energetic.

While listening to music, I write and think much better.

I have trained myself that way.

Writers have own special moments in their moments of writing. Writers could train themselves to a certain way, to get started in writing an article, or a novel.

A person can write for years on and still won't call themselves a writer.

  • What are you exactly waiting for to become a writer?

Sometimes individuals are not sure of the kind of writer they want to be, and can try to be a writer.

You would still feel something is not quite right about what they write, or of how their work is written.

A real writer knows when they are true writers.

It takes years of practice and painful moments to become that true writer.

You have to say you are a true writer when you believe deep down you are and then it will come out easily.

Only you will know when at best.

  • When does a writer actually become a true writer?

Most important, is when believe you are a writer, then you don't take heed to what others have to say.

Your opinion matters most whatever others say does not matter once you believe in yourself as a writer.

  • Why it does not matter?

Your writing is special and no one can write like you do.

It takes time to tell yourself but it happens in due time.

What you write, and the way you choose to express yourself is crucial to your own approach.

You can have it all in the writing sector.

You won't call yourself the true writer, when you believe in yourself then do you know the writer hiding inside.

To be a writer you don't have to dream of being writer start writing and you will see how you perform on paper.

Never doubt what you can do as a writer.

In the beginning you may hate the criticism. You would feel negative about your work.

Don't give up on writing. You got to experience what you enjoy.

Practice daily to know more about writing.

You are a writer when you say so, and no one can stop you from going on writing.

Bad comments can make you stop or feel disappointed but you learn from all these examples in writing as I have over the years.

You should call yourself what you already are and don't ignore your thoughts on paper.

Changes in writing can make everything feel most difficult to cope with and at times changes can make you feel most simple to write down your thoughts.

If a reader understands your work there should-not be any doubt in what you have published.

Don't lose faith in yourself you will get to that goal.

Be encouraged by all published works. This would take you further in writing. If you are serious about writing online, work on your writing daily. Well-disciplined writers could feel free to express what they have on mind.

A great piece to put things in perspective. Switching from technical writing to creative has become a great journey for me. This article keeps that in focus.

I am more a technical writer than a creative writer. My creative side comes from painting and creating new projects that I have to translate in words! But I have ideas of creative writing for the kids forming in my head... so who knows.... I will may be one day become a true creative writer... for kids.

      Have a nice weekend, Devika!

Encouraging article DDE. Yes true writers have to believe in their work and that what they write is good, and we have to keep practicing and learning all the time. No one is ever a perfect writer, we can always improve. To make others engage and believe in what we write, we have to believe in what we have written. Good hub.

This is an excellent article. You get right to the heart of the matter. The writer is often not understood by those who don't have the passion for the craft.

What a lovely, honest article about being a writer. I still hesitate to say "I'm a writer!", after all it's not my day job. But I say it when I'm explaining what I get my second income from doing. I only write occasionally, but it is a constant in my life and the money I earn from writing really helps my lifestyle :)
