True Happiness

Song Lyrics

Vs. 1

Not my home, Or my man, Not my job, Or my plan. Not my fame, Or my wealth, Thru none of the changes I bring on myself.

I'm trying to find that missing key, In so many different worldly things.
But I can't make the happiness stay, My dream is quickly fading away.

Ch.

'Cause it's You and You alone, I can't get it on my own.
I looked to me for happiness, But I only made a bigger mess.

They won't make me happy, Not deep down inside.
You're the only answer, For a blissful life.

Once You're my heart-beat, And my every breath,
Then I will have... Pure happiness.

I want a joy that'll really last, No temporary fading mask.
I'll center my whole life, God, in You, And finally know happiness that's TRUE.

Vs. 2

I can make a new friend, Or buy a new car,
Or pack all my things, And move very far.

I could start a new life, And be someone else,
But the saddness still comes, 'Cause nothing helps.

I'll center my whole life, God, in You, And finally know happiness... that's TRUE.

Happiness without God is not true happiness that will last.

Ah, the endless search to find who or what will finally make us blissfully happy. That's why marriages fail, children are left unparented, rehabs and jails are full, and psychological illness and depression is flourishing. The perfect Lord is the only way to gain the wisdom to understand life's true happiness.
