Tuck Me Away

Updated on November 22, 2010

Tuck me away in your left front pocket

The one closest to your heart

Hide me from all you know and love

So that I'll never be apart

Apart of your life

I'm just a secret

Shhh!!! no one really must know

Ooops!!! I hear footsteps coming

Hide in the cabin below

The cabin below with all your skeletons

Your closet is much too full

I'll bring you out when my friends are gone

"You're too loud, I said to Shush

Tuck me away in your trunk

"I want to take you everywhere"

But the front seat is reserved for your woman

The world knows that you are a pair

A pair of friends, a pair of lovers

You look nice hand and hand

While in the secret hiding room is the only time that you're my man

Tuck me away in your box

The one you hold all your toys

You bring me out to play for awhile

But dollies arent for boys

So my boy, I wait patiently for the day I go on the shelf

But dry rotting, wasting, and falling apart

I spend my time by myself

Secrets... so seductive... and so dangerous.

Thanks for painting that bold picture.

Wow! I love your writing. You're really good :) Really took us along on the "ride" of what it is like to be the "other" woman. Thumbs up from me :)
