The Colored Skyy

Updated on August 13, 2011

~~~
Aspiration for contentment
Striving just for the cure
My written word, powerless
Against action's finesse
Her craft is her own
But her inspiration
Lies within me
Captivating and corrupt
Cultivating a false light
To guide us through
The darkest of truths
~~~

Like a drug

As a pill

Increasing my want

With the passage of time

And my wasted breath

Her flesh quivers

Her skin responds

As receptors of touch

And feeling ignite

At my will

Imposition of my instincts

Transform her desire

~~~
My muscles cannot react
My restraint gives way
To her soft eyes
Fully, to her beauty
Lost, I become
Paralyzed beneath her
Rendered helpless
In carefree caress
Necessary roughness
Inflicted gently
For good measure
The wounds dance
Across my back
Lingering, to display
Our guilty pleasures
Carried out freely
Lacking only
In guilt
~~~

      My philosophy as expressed in almost everything I write and think and do is, "Nothing is as it may appear".

      "Cultivating a false light

      These lines hit me in the stomach... especially the last. We believe that truth is Sweetness and Light, but you are right. Truth can be a dark and claustrophobic thing. Not very pleasant at all.

      i will tell you , something is igniting here and its your poetry :D:D glad to have stopped by :D at the middle of the poem i started seeing receptors, neurons, and electric impulses. i don't know why maybe it was the world receptors that triggered the flow of old biology material that i studied in school :D:D always so profound and strong with your poem, totally loved it :D
