Twenty-Four Hours

By Tony DeLorger © 2011

At its mercy,

I writhe

in exquisite pain.

From the depths of me

it rises,

a fire unquenchable,

a stiring

that saturates my body,

pulsates within me,

swollen

and at the edge

of passion,

begging release.

My mind is already

inside you,

squirming,

within the warmth

of moist silken places.

I tremble

with anticipation,

knowing in one day

my soul with be released,

soaring in freedom

with physical abandon.

Twenty-four hours

to redemption,

to souls melding,

bodies entwined,

love’s unfettered course.

Each second a torture,

each breath laboured,

body yearning,

mind imbued,

souls quenched.

Love.
