Twisted Victims, Selfish Vixens

By Tony DeLorger © 2011

Some people hold on to wrongs,

exude them as a reason for suffering,

for the state of their lives,

for their self-victimisation.

Some people enjoy the pain

at the hands of those whom they blame,

for all they cannot take in the first place.

How clearly I see their self-importance,

their deluded selfish lives,

feeding off those stupid enough,

to cater to their every whim.

These souls are lost in their actions,

oblivious to their self-centred needs,

manipulating always for gain,

a free ride in a world filled with worth,

not the petty fulfilment of self.

How lost the vixens,

in their own melodrama,

taking, taking, blaming,

without the capacity to love, truly.

If it weren’t for their evil intent,

I would feel sorry for these foolish souls,

their viewpoint so narrow they see nothing real.

Living in an illusion of being,

a projection of self,

never open, always conniving,

yet holding themselves in great esteem,

the perfect mother, lover and daughter,

they stand alone, believing their own delusion.

Once, I believed them, played their game,

and now they appear like glass,

transparent and fragile.

All I can feel now is pity,

and a choice not to associate

with their futile lives of self-centredness.

If only they could see themselves,

how disappointed they would be.

Perhaps not.

Thanks Gary. It's not so much frustration as surprise that many people are so unaware of their behaviours. Thanks for reading, and take care.

yes, the only person instigating the suffering of one is the bearer himself...as what Socrates has said "Know Thyself"...once again a great hub Tony which impresses me more...

Great Hub. I can relate to your frustrations. Too many people seem to be caught up in the material pursuit of pleasures. I have seen mental illness, drug addiction, and prostitution. I believe the pathway to healing continues to be the embrace of spiritual belief and positive awareness. Sending you purple butterflies and green Light today.....Gary.
