"Two Brothers" by Eric Wayne Flynn

"Two Brothers"

Stemming from one seed, growing from one womb

Irish and Portugese the breed, kinship growing in one room

Mischievous adolescents causing chaos in the street

Big wheels and pin wheels, circles spinning in the summer heat

Other brothers and bully boys challenge; the two, go back to back

Protecting each other and their name, "Flynn" the name of their pack

Street lights about to come on, better get your butts inside!

"If we miss Mama and Papa's curfew they're gonna tan our hides"

Surviving their youth the two brothers grow into men

Sprouting bigger and stronger, together, they now can remember way back when

Like minded brethren, galloping into their golden years

Battle ridden warriors, soft hearted, strong men also shed tears

Time; forever fleeting

Still, our hearts filled with the same blood, thumping and beating

Two brothers; forever back to back, man to man

Two brothers; forever bonded in a language only two can understand

Must say a 13 year age separation makes my sibling experience a tad different; Eric, I envy you, your's! Man, even w/said age dif, I still got chills and warmth in my eyes throughout your conception to present itinerary; great times recalled, or, in my case, memorially (?) fabricated. Thanks, Eric. :-)

This was made for my father and his brother. Glad you were able to identify with it. Thanks Robert
