Two Leaf Clover
A Poem
Feels like a million needles,
Stabbing at my heart,
Time-it dulls,
The aching after the start,
Numbness waves over,
Like a deep sleep,
You’ll be my two leaf clover,
Watered by the tears I weep,
It’s always another test from you,
Today’s just a makeshift day,
Emotionless through and through,
Justified excuses in everything you say,
Broken glass of promises,
So you can free load some more,
Masqueraded by kisses,
To keep you inside this door,
Promises- you only keep the one,
In which you let me down,
From the start you were done,
And I was just your clown….
