Unknown Rendezvous (poem)

Updated on July 24, 2016

I think this is the spot so long ago

Gives reason to the moments that return

What truth is left to what I think I know

Alone with doubt left in this world to churn

-

The water once so blue was it so cold

That day I waved goodbye to all I knew

I sit to watch such emptiness unfold

While actors offer unknown rendezvous

-

Their empty promises return to air

I see what they would not but can’t recall

I’m lost to love still glowing in more care

It’s not for them I’m waiting after all

-

Though others may dare acts that I cannot

You’ll find me holding faithful to this spot

Never forget, holding on to the memories that favorite spot represents. Beautifully executed. Thank you.
