"Until the Man Gets His" By Eric Wayne Flynn

Updated on February 24, 2014

"Until the Man Gets His"

Here in the land of the free

The home of the brave

Where our forefathers built our country with slaves

Wrote it down, we got a right for a gun

They said it was for protection, now we have to run

From each other

They got us living in fear

Every other city block, people checking their rear

Forced the natives out, we killed them in droves

Gave some land to shut em up now we taxing on casinos

Everybody has got a right to vote, but electoral points are a fucking joke

...You cant have nothing till the man gets his

Soldiers overseas where they don't belong, but "good ol Merica" will justify our wrongs

So our mothers can drive an SUV, while the rest of the world bares our hippocracy

America, we can't even help ourselves, too busy appointing generals to kill everyone else's

Children, Mothers, Fathers and Sons

It ain't no secret, it just really sucks

If you're not a friend, you're definitely a foe

If ya fucks with U.S. then ya gots to go

From our broken ties to our freedom fries

Our imperialistic reach will super size

...You can't have nothing till the man gets his

All of America's cash belongs to 1 percent

They can kiss my ass, I can't pay my rent

I guess their mothers never really taught them to share

And you know Uncle Sam won't do what's fair

So we cut health care n educational funds n spend money n lives on oil drums

Because that bubbling crude, corporation lube, will keep us up n running at least another year or two

We are in America people, the home of the sequel

Where you gotta have money to be created equal

...You can't have nothing till the man get his

Nicely put, Eric; Orwellian, like that one.

Robert, ha, four fathers? oops... thanks for the interaction and support. All nations are built through slavery, agreed. What we have now, is a slavery of the mind, it's so subversive and Orwellian now. Passive aggressive it is.

Eric, you have drive. Passionate, well-organized and concluded with finality; again, nice work. Two things you will find useful: the world, prior to U.S.A., was ALL built by slaves. And the word is "forefathers;" no detraction from your point, so no worries, Eric! I like this piece, your anger viscerally builds throughout.

WOW! Great piece of poetry and you certainly made a statement with this one. Well done! By the way, welcome to HubPages. (Voted Up)
