Caressed by words of loving charm,
my soul enlivens and thoughts disarm,
like air I rise in splendour’s arms,
and sigh of freedom found.
Tis you the centre of my world,
unyielding joy and soul unfurled,
with purpose bound a future pearl,
a gift of life and hope.
Each day arrives and in your eyes,
my heart enriched and thoughts derived,
from latent will and thirsts deprived,
that you instil in me.
For all my hopes that mind promotes,
but lays in dream, no heart devotes,
you make me see what life denotes,
and I in turn am blessed.
Without you I can see no joy,
for you give my soul a man from boy,
restore my will to strength and ploy,
to realise all I am.
For in you I’ve found a heart’s resound,
a loving soul in life expound,
of potential open and never bound,
your love my saving grace.
Unyielding joy is what you are,
within my life, my battles, scars,
and I with you let nothing mar,
what we as one can do.
