Up Up And Away We Go!!!
Today's poems are for fun and that is one commodity we can never have too much of.
Up we go higher and higher where stories are told and beauty much brighter.
Fly so high right up to the sky; where hearts flow freely and magical each cry.
Oh What Fun !!!
It was a beautiful day
with many a bewitching sound.
Birds flying; birds singing
nature’s beauty we found.
We were carrying
two beautiful kites.
Mine an awesome monkey
Ellie’s a tiger so bright!!
We walked all the way
to the fields above.
Ellie so bubbly
her laughter I love.
We held the strings as we
ran in full flow;
The kites took flight
their beauty on show.
The weaving and bobbing
of her amazing tiger;
Ellie’s joy so evident
the world ever brighter?
Her tiger looked awesome
when seen from below;
She chanted and giggled
“Go tiger Go!!!”
My monkey started to lose
some of its grace.
Looking very slanted
was his poor wrinkled face.
It crashed its descent
zooming it’s way !!!
Till in many many pieces
my poor kite lay !!
Ellie laughed and laughed
till she could no more.
I joined in her laughter
till my sides were so sore !!
Ellie’s tiger still in one piece
and really seems to grin.
Was my poor monkey
on his way to the bin !!
But oh no fear
with string and glue;
My monkey once again
looked brand new.
Oh what fun we had
yesterday afternoon.
And will we do it again?
Oh yes very soon!!
Up Up And Away .
Up up and away
How I love this quote
I say it nearly every day
Whatever floats your boat!
I say it to you
I say it to him
I say it to her
I say it to them.
You must have wanted
To start that climb high
Then in contentment
Watch the world go by.
I say it to you
I say it to him
I say it to her
I say it to them.
We should all aim high
And never for low.
With a happy sigh
Your heartbeat will flow.
I say it to you
I say it to him
I say it to her
I say it to them.
Forward we must go
Upwards we will climb.
The way I will show
This is now your time.
I say it to you
I say it to him
I say it to her
I say it to them.
I introduce to you all today my friend Sammy.
Hello to you all!!
I would like you to meet a naughty but enchanting little squirrel who decided to be a regular visitor to our bird table.
Sammy did arrive
One sunny morning.
Without a simple
Word of warning.
He hung cleverly
From the bird table.
He took tasty morsels
His little paws very able.
He looked at me
With a cheeky defiance.
His little head nodding
So endearing that glance.
I know without a doubt
My Sammy so very dear.
On you Mother Nature excelled
And that is so obviously clear.
