Of the vagabond rains

In the season of storms there's known
a vagabond rain
Rolling in to dampen your spirit
yet all willing to remain

Yet the spirit of old sol above
shining away so strong
It's only you and I sitting down here
that get it all wrong

And to the winds giving no mercy
shame on you as well
One day the rain the wind the fog
will have a truth to tell

Yet I ask of the storm that
might message the spirit
One that leaves a man a woman whole again
we'll gladly wear it

Where I live its the first warm rains
that open the seeds of the season
Making the vagabond rains a gift
and even then gives a reason

Remember my friend even in
the grey filled day .....that sun will shine
Above the clouds the thunder
the rain .....a gift so kind

Spot on! Your poem is so right for today - it has been cloudy, dull and drizzly all day, but at least my new seeds like it as it's not really cold yet and they'll be strengthening ready for building a good root system before winter and they'll burst forth in the Spring.

Voted up and awesome. Oh, how happy I'd be for the rains to finally wash all the snow away. Loved this and passing it on. Hope you're having a great weekend Ed. Our days don't change from gray and I'm hoping your words will send some sun my way.
