Vasto Lorde

Updated on August 31, 2011

Vasto Lorde

Oh, the struggles I endured

to achieve what I am,

and always dreamed to be

With the taste of tainted blood,

dripping sweetly down my throat,

its power coursing through me

I died alone, in darkness,

as my second birth took place

Surrounded by the rancid stench

of the evils I would face

Instinctively, I slaughtered them,

to make their life my own

The first of many vicious fights

I’d battle, all alone

A century passed,

my goal was clear,

I’d devour every soul

The time would come,

someday, for my

ascension to the throne

I rose through every rank,

as my mask became more fearsome

My reputation grew with haste

I’d make this hell my kingdom

The lesser of two evils

must bow in shame and perish,

but the more malicious one

takes one more step to greatness

I’m finally here…

At the top, the end…

Emptiness consumes me…

Aizen will be mad at you :) At some point of the poem you sounded like him "I will transcend both shinigami and God :P"

my favorite verse was: "The lesser of two evils

must bow in shame and perish,

      but the more malicious one

takes one more step to greatness" that reminded me of ichigo's new form in the bleach movie :D Nice read btw :D

No happy ending here Ben, but happy readers. A spiraling decent, in an upwards direction, if that makes sense, to a downward end at the top. Creativity personified. Cheers buddy.

wow i wouldnt want to get on your bad side lol. crossing paths with you would be like crossing paths with the devil. a very evil monster you portray yourself to be here. determined, hell-bent, furious, reborn and demonic. but on a brighter side, very good poem :)

I want to be honest with you, and I have to say that maybe it's because I am older, or something like that, it is difficult for me to understand your writing. But, something in the way you use words touches me, and I find myself drawn to what you write. Does that make sense? This particular piece is powerful, and unnerving. I had to read it twice.
