Voice Dissappeared Into Coma

Updated on July 31, 2011

Closed eyes his mother see
Lifeless he look
Body attached to a machine…

Gently she stroke his hair and say

“Locked in a coma
Honey do you hear me cry?

I’m here by your bedside

I’ve been waiting
Since morning till night…

Sunlight has disappeared
Moonlight has appeared

Still waiting by your bedside
And hope you soon be alive…

Yet days now turn to week…
Still you are asleep…

Can you please wake up
And let me hear your voice cry…

So long I haven’t heard
A word from you

Your voice has disappeared
Into the coma for long…

Wake up my dear one..
I missed you…”

As she lean against the bedside and cried…

Tears roll from her eyes…
Unto her cheek…

Her husband was beside
Placing his hand on her shoulder

She glance at him
And touch his hand

He lean toward her and place a kiss on her head..

Endlessly she cried

Hoping there is miracle
To bring her son back to life…

Hi Binaya, thank you! At first I was thinking of not saying mother in the first line and later I decided just do it. So I wrote it and it turn out okay. Thank you! :)

Perhaps I have already told, your last line gives the entire meaning to your composition. Your ability to portray pain in this beautiful poetry is amazing.
