Voices in my head...A dark poem

Updated on August 14, 2012

Innocence dances in your eyes

Even as you lay naked in my arms

Content to believe my obvious lies

That you are safe from harm

You see my sweet innocent beauty

Even as I lovingly caress your skin

Content with the feel of your youthful body

I can feel our end starting to begin

Your once shy hands grow bold

Now that I have brought you to my bed

But my passion for you grows cold

As I listen to the voices in my head

Already seeking more pleasure

Your innocence fading with touch

Your hands unskilled but eager

Not knowing that it’s all too much

How fast a temptress you turn

As you lean up to whisper in my ear

The feel of your lips burn

The voices in my mind all I hear

Under the innocence you are all the same

Eve’s daughters sinful to the core

Harlots born without shame

Never satisfied always wanting more

So let me kiss you one more time

As my hands slip down to your pulse

How I wish that you could be truly mine

That I could ignore my dark impulse

But into my kiss you gasp your last breath

Your struggles in my hands finally still

My lips savouring the taste of your death

The only moment you have been real

Your eyes aren’t so innocent now

As you lay lifeless in my bed

I must fulfil my lifelong vow

To the voices in my head

Its so nice to see you again here :)

the serial killer is the ultimate monster, hiding in plain view and just as deadly if not more so then the vampires and werewolves that so many are obsessed with these days (myself included)

thanks for taking the time to read over this I am very flattered that you liked it despite its tragic theme

I was pensive as I read this work. You definitely took us into the dark heart of a killer, I felt a shiver run across my soul, the death approaching of an innocent. How sad that so many die in the arms of a serial killer, how sad. An awesome write indeed my fellow poet.

"I can feel our end starting to begin" -- love that line. Harrowing tale of someone who listens to the dark chatter; someone who heeds the midnight forces.
