What We Will Find at the End of the River? - a Poem

Updated on July 7, 2017

This is our flowing life

A dirty river

Where bleeding heart

Wishing for the end of own suffer

With strong spirit as youth

Full of power to conquer life

Took every chance

Embraced gladly for every advance

Surpassed every challenge

Left enemies unhinge

Kicked every obstacle

Want to become legend inside great chronicle

A successful human

A great and fantastic man or woman

Even in own definition

We beat our spirit to the highest

Want to live to the fullest

Reached the peak of victory

Even sometimes had to deny own misery

Suddenly the water is gone

Far under our feet

Land no longer familiar

Living mud

We are inside

Buried deep

Not able to breath

Where my feet had leaded me?

We asked

Somehow, we just lost the clue

When the flame of life getting dimmed

Suddenly we see what we never saw before

The tears of our daughter in the corner of her room

Knowing her parents

Will never come for her important event

The shaky hand of our mother

As she caresses our old picture

Inside her room

In that cold nursing home

Where we sent old people away

The sad smile of our neighbor

When we sent gift along with sorry letter

For not coming in his 50 years old birthday

Too busy

Too caught up by life

Too easy

To give up and surrender to its chaotic rife

Flowing life

Dirty river

Bleeding heart

Wishing for the end of own suffer

But when life is our only purpose

Soon, we will find ourselves

At the biggest lost in life

Is that what you want to be find

At the end of your River?

Peggy W, yes, it is true. Life indeed like that. Need to be strong and do at our best every single time. I just hope we all understand what is our priority in this life.

Life is not about living as the conqueror of the worthless material things in this world and abandon the rest, while these such called 'the rest': sometimes are our family, our morality, our humanity, etc, etc. Many of us in so many time have reversed definition about life. But well, It is my opinion only. Others may have different definition. ^^

    Thank you, Dear.

Sometimes life flows along nicely like that river and sometimes it is turbulent and disturbed and we feel helpless as we are tossed this way and that. As you said to Micky, we just have to try our best to follow the right currents in that water and end up knowing that we have done our best. Some of the imagery in your poem is powerful. Voted useful and up!

Micky Dee: I heard and understand what you feel.

This is life, indeed full of probation. It is really hard to live in the right path and trying to fix everything which is not right, but it is our responsibility, because we care and we can do at our best to make others care too, even only a little bit. It is tiring job, I know. But in the end you will be happy to know, you never give up on seeking for the truth and trying to fix what is wrong.

Take a rest, don't listen, don't see, don't talk about it for a while, just rest your head and think about peaceful place you want to be. It is all right to take vacation once a while to refreshing your energy. But don't give up, King Micky. God is the best goal to reach. Please, don't ever give up!

Very beautiful my dear Freya. I just want oout my dear. I am so tired. I have fought injustice all my life. I am tired of the fake world where you never know of whom to trust. I'm tired of business deceiving and enslaving so many. I'm so tired of the violence, arguing.

I want peace- and peace - never comes. The trials here make too many think that these trials will persist after death. This continuous noise of the "top of the food chain" clapping at their achievements makes me want to fast, to do without nourishment of any kind until the world devours me too. Because man will not evolve.

Man was created by God - he could not have evolved from animal. Animals evolve and man never does. Thank you for this wonderful poem. God bless Freya.
