Waiting for the stars

Updated on April 23, 2015

Sleepless nights on this cold earth, Its no wonder I can't sleep,

I tried counting sheep, but I was only able to count all my grieves,

As I speak, I feel the pain increase as my wounds run deep,

As deep as the unknown in the sea,

When I see the light that appears to me in the night sky, next to the moon's eye,

I exhale so that the light of the orbs would feel me,

As my mind wonders, and my body remains rooted like the trees,

My dreams reach out to the stars, beyond my eyes line of sight,

So I'll just wait until the stars see me.

Your rhyme of the night and the stars was lovely Kelvin. Reaching for the stars but unable to touch them like your dreams. I voted up, shared and pinned it.
