Wake Up And Smell The Posh Coffee.

Updated on November 7, 2012

Early one morning.......

Just as the sun is rising

My kettle is boiling

Ready for my first cup of brown nectar....

Coffee !

Not just any coffee

But

Posh coffee

The best freshly ground full of flavour coffee

Smell the Aroma

The air is filled with that just brewed smell

Not just to be sniffed at

But powerfully inhaled

The house is filled with the lovely aroma

What do I make today

Is it to be a Latte

No.... an Americano

No... a Mocha

Oh no...decisions decisions

I know I'll have a double espresso

For that kick in the butt kickstart to the day.

Anyone wanna join me?

What will you have?

Let me know your thoughts on coffee.

The second most traded commodity on the planet

I'm not a coffee drinker, but I drink coffee. Mostly at work, where that's the only free drink available next to water fountains that kids slobber all over. But a 9 month weekly business class I took last year had me drinking it more frequently.

I think I was turned on my the fancy paper coffee cups with a exterior surface that felt like ... well, felt. And the array of flavored creamers available, as well as organic sugar to really sweeten the deal.

My thoughts on coffee...It is amazing, wonderful, tasty, necessary, a lovely scent in the morning. I could go on and on. I love, adore, need, crave and drink it. Ah!!!!

When I think of London I am immediately reminded of the great coffee I had while over there...Not expecting much in the way of coffee, tea being the UK's drink of choice, I was blown away by the pure coffee aroma and taste when we stopped for breakfast at Garfunkel's near Paddington on our arrival...

I was amused when after gulping down my first cup I asked the waitress for a refill..." Oh' you want another ? "..." Yes, please "...At which point she snatches up my coffee cup and disappears into the kitchen area...5 minutes later she reappears with a fresh, steaming and aromatic cup of coffee...No pouring from a pre-made pitcher to refill...No, they make cups of coffee one cup at a time...That taste has stayed with me ever since...I have yet to match it with anything here in the States...

I would love to join you for a cuppa'...Larry

I enjoy flavored coffee at times, but my absolute favorite brew--essential first thing in the morning--is coffee with chicory. I learned to drink this New Orleans-style coffee when very young, and prefer it to all other coffee beverages.

Whenever I try to drink a cup of "just plain coffee", it tastes like colored water with a bitter edge! Give me my coffee-and-chicory cup of bliss!

Nothing like coffee to get one's engine going in the morning. Just reading made me smell the aroma of coffee.

Cafe du Monde (same as the famous coffee-and-beignets outdoor cafe in New Orleans) packaged coffee with chicory can be purchased in many supermarkets and speciality stores...at least, in the southern U.S. states. There are other brands available, such as Luziane and French Quarter coffees with chicory. If you can't find it where you live, you might type "Cafe du Monde packaged coffee" or "coffee and chicory" into a search engine in order to buy it online. It has a strong flavor, which is probably an acquired taste. I acquired it at an early age, so I think it's the best!

Poshcoffeeco: Thank you! I am a big coffee lover. I am like an old grizzly bear first thing in the morning until I have sipped my first cup of morning coffee, usually from Tim Horton's and then throughout the day I will fresh-brew three or four more cups, just to keep me going.

The one thing I don't like though are these flavored coffees which destroy the aroma and flavor of a good cup.

Daily I sit down to my computer here to read my E-mails and I enjoy them so much more if I am sipping away at a great cup of coffee.

    Steve...

I worship coffee. It started because I was cold one day. Suddenly...It became more. Anymore I am just cranky without it. OK...I'm going to put a pot on. I voted Up and awesome in deference to the topic and your excellent treatment of it.

I can't imagine what humanity did before they discovered coffee or even for a while after that when it was too expensive for most to afford. For me, coffee is a relatively inexpensive luxury that I relish with every sip. Thanks for the hub! :D

I love coffee: american, Cuban, double espresso, colada you name it. There's nothing like that aroma of coffee in the morning when you're still half asleep. My favorite coffee is Starbucks and dunkin doughnuts. Happy Birthday!
