Waking Up In The Pacific

Updated on May 3, 2015

A poem portraying the beauty of the Pacific

Source

Dawn slowly breaks giving new life to the Pacific Islanders

Rays of sunlight illuminate the horizon

The faded blankets of clouds kiss away remaining rays of darkness

Pacific has woken up to a new day in paradise

Personal photo
Personal photo

Birds welcome the the day with their sweet melodies

Schools of fish fight for the first site of oceanic debris

Cool December breeze blows through the thatched roofs

Waking up the sleeping souls in the houses

Swaying coconut tree
Swaying coconut tree

Tall coconut trees sway to and fro

Following the rhythm of breaking waves

The morning beach odour sends the sand flies congregating

Scavenging crabs lazily graze the beaches

Leaves of the trees danced to the pacific garamut beats

Nothing is more beautiful than waking up in paradise

The creator with his creative hands artistically designed Pacific in a unique way

Rugged mountains with clear flowing fresh waters

Clear blue sea and incredible coastlines with lines of palm trees extending endlessly

Hungry wave feast on the coast lines sending mist over over pacifica

Lovely people with histories as strong seaside rocks

There is no other morning more beautiful and natural then waking up in Pacific

If ever in this space and time you want to break a break, never underestimate the wonders and beauty of the pacific. You will certainly be amazed. I am pretty sure Rose50s had a wonderful but yet an adventurous experience in here.

      Ian,

Wow! What a beautiful read! The photos are stunning also!

I could imagine drum beats and the scent of salt in the air while I read it and you've nearly made me homesick for a place I've never seen. :)

      I love your poem.

Oh I remember those beautiful dawns on the coast of Madang. The coconut trees lining the edge of the land.

Thank you for the memories and the beautiful photos.

      Good luck with your studies

My photos aren't as brilliant as yours, but I've done it! I called it Happy Memories of PNG. Writing the verse took some time! Hope it makes sense!

Ian, I've just been looking at your lovely hub again and I'm getting inspired to do one about where we lived. It might take a while, especially if I add poems! Yours are great.

Your beautiful photos made me quite nostalgic. A long time ago we lived in the D'Entrecasteaux for three years. Thank you and good luck with your studies.

Thanks Senoritaa. I love to paint vivid pictures with words. HP makes it even more stylish with its capsules that we can use to add pictures that really brings out the creativity in us. Thanks for dropping by and commenting. Happy new year.
