Walk In The Garden (poem)

Updated on September 17, 2013

Come walk awhile in the garden

The garden which is you

Free from cares put upon you by the passing winds

Bask in the sunshine of your own glow

Feel the beauty of the limitless flower

Feel the spring which flows through your heart

See through the leaves hidden in secret

Hear the soft whispers the roots of your soul

Smell the dear scents of moments forgotten

Taste the richness of your endless blossoms

Touch the glories of a garden

The garden of

The seasons will pass and so will this while

Yet rare treasures will last forever

Existing in the timeless ever

A truth which no wind will sever

Do you feel it

Do you take in the wonders

Waiting in the garden

How can others express

Whose days are distant

From other flowers drifting by

Only you can marvel

Kiss the splendor

Lavish nectar

Walk in the garden

Tend to that garden

Trust in this garden

Music only

Indeed the garden is a host of many secrets, many of which we cannot even hope to see.

Your poem is full of descriptive imagery that makes it feel like I'm there. This is an amazing, heartfelt poem.

mhatter, this is fine, so fine. Love the imagery and music and especially the part "the garden of

The seasons will pass and so will this while

Yet rare treasures will last forever"

      Lifted me up.

Martin, I loved this, beautifully done. We take so much for granted, and often, don't take the time to appreciate what a miraculous gift life is. Let's all kiss the splendour.

      My best to you.
