Walking on the path of life the people

Leave the world, leave the beautiful deeds

Behind. Loving the soil and the people, those who

Leave this earth, posterity pays homage to them.

----------------------)(----------------------

In whose heart the sun and the moon

Come by turns and ether vibrates, he sings

The song of the soil and its inhabitants.

The love of the green fields and the silvery

----------------------)(----------------------

Rivers ripple, and the highland lass dances

In the heart of a man who loves the

Surroundings, hills, meadows and seas.

He believes in theistic and theocratic love.

----------------------)(----------------------

Following the arena of death earthly begins

Start for uncertain journey to an unknown planet,

Which is full of love and unending peace.

The dreams of life fade away in the skull

----------------------)(----------------------

Of despondency, the buds of hope blossom.

Frontier soldiers die in harrowing fights.

The women-folk feel the birth pain.

The play of laugh and pain goes on

----------------------)(----------------------

And continues from generation to generation.

The light of hope is fugitive, the glow-worms

Are moaning in the furry darkness, Life goes on.

Smga22, In particular, I like your imagery -- such as "the song of the soil" -- and the rampant connections with nature.

The closing lines are so clever with the observations of glow-worms. Are your glow-worms meant to be whatever the reader imagines, or do you have one kind in mind? I love the different colors of light, number of blinks, and scouting patterns of the different kinds of fireflies.

Respectfully, and with many thanks for sharing, Derdriu
