Walks of life

Updated on November 1, 2013
Source

Together forever...it was once upon a time
it was then I knew ....that you were mine
I held you close, you held me tight
we always thought, it would be alright
you were the day,, I was the night
you were the sun ...
that shined so bright,
I was the moon ..with stars in sight

Look.. .how the things I once held true
are all the things ..I see are so blue
all of my dreams ..they floated like clouds
now I ride ...aboard funeral shrouds

This is now, what has come to pass
life is trail ...of broken glass,
walk with softness, this sparkling light
life is often beautiful, but filled
with certain fright

Often time passes

right before our eyes

seeing what we think is important,

while we often fail... to see

the beauty of the moment

cleaner3, reading this poem takes one to variant ways of life. You have rightly concluded that we miss a lot. But you see ,there seems to be an infinite ocean of beauty perhaps known to the One and Only that we call Father, God and so on. Poets are desperate to merge with that beauty and produce some glimpses of it in his/her poems. A thought provoking poem, indeed ! Loved and enjoyed reading it.

Let me just put it this way -- I love you man!

This was not a twist at the end it was the crescendo and tail to a symphony. I am stimulated to look here and now at love.
