Walls-poetry

Walls

Show me a way out

With these walls

Building around me

And closing in upon me

Show me a door

To a world long forgotten

But no

Your all long gone

And all that’s left are these bare walls

And my screams

For help

For mercy

For someone to care

For someone new to reach in

Or even just

To knock at the door

To show me where it is

But how can I escape

These 4 walls

And this blackness

This never ending loneliness inside

When I reach out

And there's no one to take my hand

Please

I'm begging you

Take my hand

And pull me from this darkness

From this inescapable room

Pull me close to you

And whisper

Goodnight

Your safe now

Shut your eyes

Your safe with me

I will never leave you

This is my favorite one of yours so far. Good imagery and touching onto that shared human experience of needing to be rescued from ourselves and learning to trust others. You also develop enough pathos with the narrator that the reader cares for him/her and wishes that someone would come along and help.
