Wandering Amid A Willow (poem)

Updated on July 28, 2016

Here wandering amid a willow tree

Surrounded by a flower’s fragrant scent

Amazed by silken stars that call to me

Lost in a world mere lovers can invent

-

Here soft winds call from somewhere up above

To flames once steeping somewhere far below

Are these the gates which legends do sing of

Through which the hearts of lovers gently flow

-

Here wondering amid what holds me back

What toys with time and reasons with the air

Are there some more unknowns that I may lack

Perhaps amiss two lovers needn’t care

-

There is but one true path though all of this

Why not begin adventure with a kiss
