War In Equality (Poem)

Updated on September 15, 2015

One flesh

Two hearts and two souls,

Starts as one, soon becomes whole,

Molded and destined,

Only to rebel, thus ended,

Now a war rages, no room for equal places,

Animosity wreaks amidst diversity,

Diversity equates inequality,

The purpose? Set aside and hated

The blessed union? Severed and divided

The reason man was created,

The reason despised and hated,

No more submission for that’s weakness

True leadership? Now an illness!

Look! The bride has been objectified,

Alas! The groom is no longer dignified,

Marriage has been brought down low,

Respect and honor is now the foe,

Love, oh true love, no one no longer knows

It’s all about keeping up the show

A day will come when no defeat will triumph,

A day where what was once neglected will be perfected,

Revived, vindicated and cleansed,

The war will soon come to an end

Soli Deo Gloria

I reread both the quote and the poem. This is deep, and your message of equality is as clear as ever. Praying that we heed it daily.
