Warmth Bubbling Up

Updated on November 14, 2011

Warmth

A warmth bubbling high,
High as the clouds and sun,
Further than the stars
All the way to the black abyss
Of universe.
A warmth unfurling feral
Into all that emptiness
Like a creeping vine, always
Finding ground to inhabit.
A warmth greater than sun’s heat
Like a blanket after a day in snow.
From one moment nothing,
To another something,
Growing bigger, rotund,
Bursting at the seams with fire and rain,
Red and blue,
Frenzied and peaceful,
Burning my heart, cooling my spine
Until all I feel
Is your hand on my hand,
Your lips on mine.

An uprush of feeling and love beautifully expressed. I like your pen name too!
