I wrote this short poem for my grandkids after a friend told me about her daughter's violin teacher telling her daughter that if she practiced each day, wonderful things could happen.

Watch Out For Fairies!

As Amelia packed her violin away

At the end of the lesson, Mr Neale would say,

'Now, watch out for fairies!'

'Cause they often come to dance and play

When you practice your violin each day

So, watch out for fairies!'

'Fairies love to gather round

When the music flows, they sit spellbound

So, watch out for fairies!'

'Cause you never know when they're listening in

So remember to practice your violin

and, watch out for fairies!'
