Watching It Burned Down

Updated on August 26, 2011

My mind has been empty out
Right after my school alarm went off…..

It started a sense of smell like something burning
Then some white smoke appear
Didn’t know where it came from…
But we know danger is near…

The fire drill went off…foot step I hear, everyone rushed out
Young women and men…old people too
Down the stair everyone else all went
Panicking, rushing, storming
Their way out

But our classroom was locked shut tight
Everyone in class shaken with fright
Put up a fight by hitting the wall
Our fist became red, some ache and cried
A pregnant woman wandering around praying to God

Couple of men pulling the door, kicking the door
Hitting the ceiling
Hitting the wall

Throwing chairs and tables…
Breaking the thick window…

The glass shattered on the cement
Jumped out the window we went

Smoke getting thicker
I’m coughing and choking…

Rushing my way out down the stair
I heard someone calling help stuck in the elevator
“Help! Anyone out there we’re stuck!”

I hit the red button but the door wouldn’t open…
Few men double my size came to rescue
And help each other pushing the door open
As the fire is getting closer…

Finally it was open…just a little
But enough to squeeze through
To get those three people out

They were all finally out
We race the stair

4th floor, 3rd floor
2nd floor 1st floor
Finally out the door..
Watching our school half burn down..
