We Don't Kiss Enough

Updated on August 25, 2016

Why Not ?

Because it is not on our mind

Certainly something we don't talk about

We are busy with life

Working to earn a living

Trying to pull it all together

There is t.v. and all your favorite movies we have to see

Don't forget the news on t.v. or the newspaper

How about computer time ?

Everything is on the computer

What was life like before Facebook and You tube

I don't remember

Was it that long ago ?

Meals we have to prepare for breakfast, lunch and dinner

All the routines we do as a couple

Take the dog out for a walk

Everything from putting the coffee on in the morning

To making sure all the doors are locked at night before bed

There are so many things inbetween

From paying the bills

Food shopping, car maintenance

That list is endless

Don't forget all the things we do on auto pilot

Driving to work, cleaning our house, doctors appointments

Lawn care and on the winter snow shoveling

Reality t.v.

Then a whole different set of circumstances

When you have a family

Your children become your life

Look at the bright side

Your free to do what you want in twenty years

Giving all the time needed to be a good parent

That is after your last baby is born

Who am I kidding

Then there are grandchildren and great grandchildren

So we live for so many reasons

Did we forget something ?

Many years ago our relationship

Started with that first kiss

Without it

Where would the magic be?

I for one can say my life was changed forever

For the better

So if it's just before bed

The first thing in the morning

A quick peck in the afternoon

A surprise right after lunch

What did you eat with onions ?

I found it so important

To relive all that passion

Keep all the fire burning

With one beautiful kiss

Nellieanna I believe we constantly create our future. Taking the time and effort necessary the way a person carves wood to make a beautiful and unique piece of two hundred year old oak into a lovely piece of furniture and other people see it as just a piece of wood. Thank you for reading and sharing.

Certainly timing is everything in most of life's experiences!

Nellieanna There were many years I thought about happiness. It was not possible. I wasn't ready even though I believed I was. Maybe the right people weren't aligned with my true love. Looking back my thoughts and actions were positive and loving. Some how timing wasn't right. Life has many mysteries that reveal themselves if we keep looking. Thank you for reading and expanding my understanding. Off to work. Talk soon.

Great for you to have a loving relationship. You bring love to it and it's reciprocated. It does take two who share the love and wish to nurture it. You're right that sometimes people forget how to look and keep it fresh, even people with the love within themselves. Then they need to remember and 'poke the embers'.

Nellieanna It's the little things that make the big things better. I can't imagine living a life of anger and frustration. I was blessed to be born at the right time. Love will always be there. I think people forget how to look. Thank you so much for reading and caring. Have a relaxing and lovely sleep.

You're so right! Kissing, touching, embracing, talking together exclusively - are all so important to keep the spark and the romance in our lives! Other things try to crowd out the romance but we must not let them!

      Viva el romance!
