We Hid (poem)

Updated on August 5, 2016

We hid amid their dreams and fantasies

And there we were for wishes do come true

The kiss which sparkles in the morning dew

The whispers of forbidden memories

And people laughed they sang and danced anew

Remembering there were such times as these

A world that didn’t seem so hard to please

We hid amid such tales of me and you

For we too hid scars of weathered storms

Which took delight in ruining our day

And we too hid our pain and all its forms

Which life politely throws into our way

We hid our tears amid those precious norms

That children might come out and safely play

Music only

A very nice poem, especially your last two lines, but I'm afraid it may be a long time before that happens.

Unforgettable moments of love are hidden in "our " hearts eternally.
