Weed Explosion

Updated on July 20, 2016

Out Of The Blue

Where do they come from ?

A secret underground world

Where slowly each weed breaks ground

The weather was perfect to be outside

In the low eighties and slightly warm

I had to begin somewhere

So I started by the fish pond

Thinning out the plants that have spread

The weeds intertwined so tight

Like two fighters in the ring against the ropes

Almost impossible to separate

As I pulled one out of the dirt another one magically appeared

What I thought wouldn't take long

Three hours later and still not done

I think I need my eyes checked

They are fine

Because I seen the tiniest ants crawling on my garden glove

Boy can I move fast

After a lot of bending and reaching

One good job if I say so myself

So relaxing even though it's hard work

The yard looks better with the weeds under control

Until next time when the weeds strike again

That is the one thing I really hate - weeding. We have weeds coming in faster than we can pull them out. Now one of your pumpkin plants has got a real tight grip on a weed and won't let go. However it is great seeing all the good things growing.

Shanmarie I appreciate the few managers that go out of their way and say thanks. I don't like the coworkers and managers who do a fake thanks. That burns me up because they are not sincere and it's a game to them. After a long day put your feet in a basin or a plastic pan filled with warm water and half a cup of Epsom salt. Soak while watching t.v. or writing. For about fifteen minutes. Sometimes I don't want to take my feet out.A great for stress relief and it feels awesome to pamper yourself. Thank you for reading and sharing. Every day I average five hours of sleep at night. In the beginning it was tough now I am use to it. When I sleep I sleep sound and deep.

I had an image in my mind of weeds literally appearing as you plucked. Funny how it seems that way sometimes. Thanks for the chuckle. Now I must head off to bed. Four hours of sleep and working all day does not agree with me, my achy feet especially.

Oh....but here's something for when you're frustrated at work. . .one of my bosses...well, she's not a salaried management memeber, but one of the people I directly answer to. . .. she said thank you to me as she was leaving today and taht she appreciated my work. I know she says it to others too and I like that about her. I've been sure to thank her as well for doing that because so many people in any kind of matter how small. .. love to bark orders and focus on criticism, forgetting that others are human too. But people tend to do more for those who appreciate what they are already doing. I saw a quote the other day that I used in my latest hub. . .part of it states that people have a way of living up or down to your opinion of them. It's true.
