Well Written Words

Updated on April 3, 2013

If one wants to write poetry or express a thought

Why not rhyme, with a tribute or  jot

If one feel’s its worth saying with theme or mode

Why not offer it flow to please the soul

Otherwise it’s just venting or expression of thought

To offer conflict; and  easily read or not

Poetry’s to show feeling and depth of soul

Is this not the author’s intent or goal

Free style poetry seems to lack time or depth

A collection of words but it’s, meaning left

It seems rather more like a rant or blog

Often leaving its reader in a fog

But these thoughts too might be misconstrewed

they might even be thought of as curt or rude

perhaps opinions should be kept inside

so as not to offend or ill will contrive

Though it’s true it takes more time

To make words flow or give them rhyme

Reading is a wonderful passing of time

And well written words even more sublime
