We’re Sorry To See Mom Go But... (limerick)

Updated on September 2, 2013

We took mom to airport today

For with us she finished her stay

It bought so much glee

To my wife and me

(That) tomorrow she’ll be on her way

With some moms or mother-in-laws the going can be rough.

Chinese saying: After three days the fish begins to stink. I often think of that when I go visiting, but I love having people come and stay and not just for three days, either.

Funny, and I'm sure a lot of people feel this way. I've had two mothers-in-law, and I've enjoyed them both. May they RIP.

You sent Mom, the one you adore?

To the airport the day before?

You and wifey are 'all heart!'

      Martin,

Do you ever sleep? Anyway, I can relate to your limerick regarding those who stay longer than one night.

Typical example of overstaying your welcome.

Mom means well and she probably wants to get back to her own home.

No one in this world seems to welcome Mom home after marriage. privacy invaded and breaths counted lol

Nothing like having your home back, regardless of who is staying. Hope your Mom doesn't keep up with your HubPages poems. lol. Good one Martin.
