We've Met, Once Upon A Time

Updated on December 21, 2014

We’ve Met Once Upon a Time…

I know I have met you before, in another life perhaps?

Images come so quickly, then memories overlap…..

Tell me your name again my dear, don’t let me guess this time,

Was it a recent meeting or when phone calls were only a dime?

I just can’t shake this feeling, I know you, and I believe it’s true,

But I can’t quite put my finger on it, and that makes me rather blue.

I heard the click and felt the pop, those feelings of recognition,

Now if this old brain of mine would only give me the ammunition.

Sit down dear one and reminisce, let’s go down memory lane,

I promise you this, the trip will be quick, I don’t think I’m going insane.

Were you a lover or just a good friend, when did we first meet my sweet?

Was it a hundred years ago or did you just cross the street?

There is no other explanation to me; it only seems quite real,

Two souls intertwined, two hearts beating just fine, giving us a chance to heal.

So they say it’s only a matter of time my friend, for souls to meet once again,

If by chance by golly, it’s only a matter of when.

I've often walked the streets, sat in an open air cafe and watched and wondered if she would appear. I've had glimpses of her in the shadows, I've seen her nakedness before me in my soul. I've wanted to reach out and peer through the vale of time and pull her close to me and ask her if she is the one that could share this plane with me? I await.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece with me, I felt to that it's only a matter of time, I just don't know in what time? Peace and blessings I send to you this day my scribe.

I instantly think of how irksome it is trying to remember someone or something. Tip of the tongue, can't quite put my finger on it. Those kinds of things. I enjoyed it very much, I'm a fan!

Once again, I am touched by the way your words flow as they enter the very heart of the reader. And the picture is amazing! Thank you, my friend, for giving me another beautiful adventure into the very depths of the soul. Voted up and beautiful!
