The Taste Of Love

Updated on January 11, 2016
The taste of your kiss...
The taste of your kiss...

The taste of love

is what I miss

When sharing with you

a tender kiss.

lilacs in the air..my favorite scent
lilacs in the air..my favorite scent

The smell of lilacs

in the air

my mind consumes itself

thinking of you

I dare

Your TOUCH.....
Your TOUCH.....

Your touch

soft, bold, reassuring

as my heart longs for you

your love so alluring

my senses loose themself in you....
my senses loose themself in you....

The heady

and almost

sick feeling

As my senses

loose themself in you

My mind

starts a reeling

The sight

of your body-

A male work of art

The sound of our lips

caressing

As they come together

and apart

Yes,

All of that I miss

Those delicious moments

We made love

When love was nothing more

than a kiss

Sending two hearts above

as doves

Romance ....The Bee Gees

      bbnix,

Hey,:) I don't know why I envy the 70's so much, I feel like I missed out on something..hmm? mabye maybe not. We all feel special during the time we are young like I did in the 80's...

Close to david? Wow, you must be quite the catch!! I'd like to see your shirtless profile LOL

Oh, and just so you know, although in deep training and mountain bike climbing, and the only guy in Zumba cause I love all that fun dancing (and being with women ;)..),

I'm close, but not quite a David... Not bad for just turning 54... =)

The seventies were quite magical. Everything seemed so free and easy, a very simple time of exploration and spreading of my new wings...a perfect time to explore life and love and the incredible music of the time. It all seemed quite fleeting though - and although the music is still around, I miss it and the special people of it very much...

And I so loved the eighties. I love to dance, to go to school (still do), my wedding, my son, the purchase of my home. It was a stable, white picket fence time for us.

Today, although still in our home, I work at home, am obsessively independent, and I'm determined, while using my degree and pragmatic technical background, to be an artist and a writer, and hopefully, while now in the tight funds "starving" part, not so for long...

      HI bbnix,

yeah how were the 70's? I was a wee thing. the 80's were my thing and 90's. I was into stickers, Xanadu, etc.

But I'll always love the oldies, even though I'm not from that time

      :)

      lol,

      wow!

      ttyl !!

Your song reminds me of the seventies and a flood of memories - high school, first love, so much....

Your new guy is not exactly Shakira to me, but hey, he's almost in as good of shape as I, but keep it between you and me - I wouldn't want him to feel bad...

A very palpable poem much like a light kiss of new love. It lingers like sweet wine on your lips and mind, then something later reminds you of it once again, like your lilacs reminds us of springtime, blue skies, and the shear joy of life...

With respect to the "male work of art" part, though, I'm sure you'll allow me a little creative substitution... ;)

A beautiful, and passionate read...your partner is a lucky man indeed...

Voted with much enthusiasm (after a cold shower, though)...
