What I know about love

Updated on July 15, 2015

Love is connected not just through the word love,

Not by the ship sailing, or the waves of the ocean and its mighty shove,

Not just by the touch of the wind, blowing through the trees,

Not only by the mother keeping her cubs warm from a cold breeze,

Something lasting through out the days, even through the beaming rays from the sun,

Feeling how real it makes us feel, asking for its healing power rather than life's constant smoking gun,

How long will love last, wishing for a life time of it, willing to forfeit my being to be one,

Wanting love, but wasting time without it , wondering why love is taking so long to run to me,

My long walks and dreaming, my talks of that feeling, but my thirst is again being denied like drinking from the sea,

Love runs around me like a child in a zoo, and wakes me up in the moon's light at night to whisper my name,

Love seems like a game, Mature as a tamed animal, but once let out can not be contained, so it lingers around like the clouds in the sky making it hard for me to take my aim,

What I know about love is that, love is real, never leave its trail,

As love will never stop, but only lives and spreads its sail,

To flow through you to get to me so that love will prevail.
