What Love Does

By Tony DeLorger © 2012

When love steps into a new arena,

it should be embraced in its entirety,

given flight in the freedom of an open heart,

and judged not to be qualified.

Loves blessing has no intention other than to exist,

wherever its focus the possibility of growth,

where baron hearts reside a garden blossoms,

and life is transformed in ways beyond understanding.

Love does not deserve to be analysed,

for it is purity without judgement,

always seeking nurturing and possibility,

and never the intentional hurt of broken dreams.

Love does not break a heart,

rather it gives the choice of expression,

and what we do with it determines growth or demise,

in what we expect in return.

Love plays no favourites,

rather grows with a positive intention,

the broken souls within its wake,

the learning of what it means to be selfless, and kind.

When love appears in any form,

we should embrace it,

for within it is the key to just how capable we are,

to appreciate and pay tribute to this vast dream of life.

Love is the answer, as I have stated many times before . . . that unconditional love. Your poem is beautiful and full of much truths as to what love is and what it is not. Very beautiful!
