What is Your Secret To A Happy Life ?

Updated on September 29, 2015

Making Our Own Pattern

Living life each day

We find many ways to do things

Learning from trial and error

We know what to do and what to avoid

Other people might tell us their ways

To help guide us away from trouble

Sometimes we listen

Sometimes we have to see it for ourselves

In the end we find out

Sadness from poor choices

Then glory from smart decisions

Much of our life is somewhere in between

Not really bad or good and hardly understood

Constantly looking for answers

Many people have turned to religion

Still others believe in fate

I think we all want to enjoy our life

Not knowing how to bring this feeling

So many attempt what they think will work

Unfortunately many of these ways were really awful choices

Turning to a life of crime

Involving harm not only for themselves but to others

Innocent lives are hurt and killed

If we carefully think about our options

Clearly seeing our possible outcomes

Long before any action was taken

Maybe after thought and consideration

Our next choice will be a good one

Gypsy Rose Lee I wake up in a positive mood from a good night sleep. Then as my body comes to life my bottom teeth hurt. A pain in my left arm. My eyes have bags under them. My legs are sore. All this is attributed to the wonders of living life. I quickly refocus on what's important and keep my mind on wonderful dreams about the world I love. Walking away from the news and the horror. Seeing through the unhappy to find those people that will stop at nothing to brighten someone's day. Then all my minor aches go away. I am on the happiness trail where people can join in at anytime. They also can stop and live any experience they see fit. I know for me to accomplish what I want I have no time to waste and I'm taking the Happiness Express. Welcome aboard what will your destination be? Please take a seat. Your in for a wonderful ride. Thank you for reading and sharing. May your day bring you unexpected happiness and to all people because we all need love.

Happiness is definitely a state of the mind. I know on days when everything is going alright and nothing is going wrong my mind is completely at ease with no worries and I am very happy. Then there are times when things go wrong and I could still be happy because things could always be worse but my mind is set with worry an it won't let me be happy.

Michael-Milec You have covered so many good points. I would love to hear more. Through my experiences I have learned to listen more than talk. Read more than write. Think more than act. Dream more than complain. Thank you for all your comments.

Great question Michael. My answer in one word, 'contentment.'

Happiness is predominantly a statement of my mind: 'I'll be happy, regardless... ( Long time ago, life's hard choices taught me not to want what I could not afford; working hard and smart, avoiding 'membership' of any kind, sober and clean fellowshipping in peace with man and God...

      plus more...
